Grant Thwaites would not be denied at the plate when runners were on base on Tuesday, driving in five on two hits to lead Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets past Tri-County High School 20-1 on Tuesday.  Thwaites drove in runs on a home run in the second and a single in the third.

Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets secured the victory thanks to 13 runs in the third inning.  The offensive onslaught by Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets was led by Thwaites, Evan Uebele, Logan Schueneman, Kyle Parris, Josh Januzelli, and  Caden Welch, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets opened up scoring in the first inning.  Uebele singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Januzelli earned the victory on the hill for Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets. The righthander went two and two-thirds innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out five and walking one.  Will Nelson threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
