Greenville Varsity Jackets won big over Red Devils 10-4 on Friday at Greenville High School.

A single by Rachelle Sherwood put Greenville Varsity Jackets on the board in the bottom of the second.

Red Devils captured the lead, 4-1, in the top of the third after Emrey Bourdo singled to right field, and Josey Jefferies doubled to center field, each scoring two runs.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Greenville Varsity Jackets went back into the lead after Alexa Hyler singled to center field, and Aubrie Uebele stole home, each scoring one run.

Greenville Varsity Jackets scored five runs on six hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Drew Galey doubled, scoring two runs, Jenna Jenks doubled, scoring one run, Uebele singled, scoring one run, and Hyler doubled, scoring one run.

Jenks earned the win for Greenville Varsity Jackets. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and four runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out four and walking two. Jefferies took the loss for Red Devils. The pitcher went six innings, surrendering 10 runs (nine earned) on 13 hits, striking out nine and walking one.

Greenville Varsity Jackets piled up 13 hits in the game. Hyler led Greenville Varsity Jackets with three hits in four at bats.
