Greenville Varsity Jackets won big over Kenowa Hills Varsity Knights 11-3 on Monday at Kenowa Hills High School.

Greenville Varsity Jackets got on the board in the top of the first inning after Drew Galey grounded out, and Maddy Free singled up the middle, each scoring one run.

Greenville Varsity Jackets added one run in the second. Charlee Henrickson doubled to center field, making the score 3-0.

A fielder's choice by Kelsey Barczak extended the Greenville Varsity Jackets lead to 4-0 in the top of the third inning.

Three more Greenville Varsity Jackets runs crossed the plate in the fifth inning to extend the lead to 7-1. Alexa Hyler homered to center field, scoring two runs, and Jenna Jenks doubled, scoring one run.

Free earned the win for Greenville Varsity Jackets. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking one. Natalie O’Rourke took the loss for Kenowa Hills Varsity Knights. The starter went seven innings, giving up 11 runs (eight earned) on 13 hits, striking out two and walking one.
