A walk-off left Greenville Varsity Jackets on the wrong end of a 7-6 defeat to Lowell Varsity Red Arrows on Wednesday at Lowell High School. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the seventh when R Monahen singled, scoring one run.

Greenville Varsity Jackets fell despite leading 6-2 in the sixth.

Lowell Varsity Red Arrows opened the scoring in the third after Maddy Free induced Ruby German to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Rachelle Sherwood lined into a fielder's choice, which helped Greenville Varsity Jackets tie the game at two in the top of the fifth.

Greenville Varsity Jackets made the score 6-2 in the top of the sixth after an error scored one run, Kelsey Barczak singled, scoring two runs, and a wild pitch scored one run.

Lowell Varsity Red Arrows flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the seventh, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 7-6. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Allison Raison that drove in two.

Monahen earned the win for Lowell Varsity Red Arrows. The hurler allowed two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking none. Free took the loss for Greenville Varsity Jackets. The pitcher went six and one-third innings, surrendering five runs on six hits, striking out four and walking three. Ava Schulz began the game for Lowell Varsity Red Arrows. The hurler surrendered three hits and six runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out one and walking three.

Sherwood and Barczak were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Greenville Varsity Jackets. Gianna Lahr, Drew Galey, Barczak, Brooke Lindquist, and Aubrie Uebele each collected one hit for Greenville Varsity Jackets.

Raison, Lily Dyer, and Monahen each collected two hits for Lowell Varsity Red Arrows. Jordan Velzen, Raison, and Monahen each drove in two runs for Lowell Varsity Red Arrows. Lowell Varsity Red Arrows had patience at the plate, tallying five walks for the game. Schulz and Gabby Curtis led the team with two free passes each.
