In the top of the sixth, Forest Hills Eastern Varsity Hawks broke up the tie when Maddy Free induced Samaira Zehner to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Then a single by Stella Cole followed to extend the lead to 7-5.

Scully earned the win for Forest Hills Eastern Varsity Hawks. The starting pitcher gave up nine hits and five runs over six innings, striking out three and walking one. Free took the loss for Greenville Varsity Jackets. The pitcher went seven innings, giving up nine runs (eight earned) on 10 hits, striking out three and walking five.

Jenks and Charlee Henrickson each collected three hits for Greenville Varsity Jackets. Jenks and Henrickson each stole multiple bases for Greenville Varsity Jackets.
