The Jackets earned the win tonight over Forest Hills Eastern and were led by Kaine Brown with 19 points. Cameron Heppe scored 13 while Jusiah Vandenberg chipped in with 12. Vandenberg gave the Jackets a huge spark off the bench in the 1st qtr. scoring 8 points. It was Heppe's turn in the 2nd qtr. as he hit three 3s and scored all 13 of his points in the 2nd frame. Greenville's center, Gavin Cossou, got into early foul trouble and sat most of the 2nd qtr. The bench really stepped up in the 2nd qtr. They providing a lot of energy that propelled them to a 33-30 halftime lead. The Jacket defense held Eastern to just 2 points in the 3rd while Cossou remained on the bench for much of the 3rd and half of the 4th qtr before fouling out. When Cossou fouled out, once again the bench stepped up and Kaine Brown knocked down FT's to finish the game. The Jackets improve to 3-6, 0-2 in the league and will host Northview on Tuesday, Jan. 15th @ 7pm.
