The GHS Girls basketball team opened their 2018-19 season on the road at Central Montcalm HS on Wednesday night and dropped a 52-36 decision to the Green Hornets.
The Jackets were led by Senior Adele Kemp with 23 points. Zoe Hallock chipped in with 5 points
The Green Hornets were led by Wernette's 19 points.
The Jackets drop to 0-1 and will host Belding on Friday night with the Boys Varsity teams playing the first and followed the girls 20 minutes after the completion of Game 1.
