The Greenville Boys Varsity Golf team captured the Championship at the St.Ives Match Play event hosted by Lakeview.  In typical stroke play, golfers are only playing against the course but in Match Play, they are not only playing the course but an opponent too.  It creates some intense, high pressure moments combined with some roller coaster up and down twists and turns, which really creates an exciting and emotional brand of golf.  The Yellow Jackets handled it all beautifully and persevered to take home the 1st Place trophy.  The team was led by 1st Place Finishes from Sutton Schroeder (1st Flight), Bronson Schroeder (2nd Flight) and Aiden Kramer (5th Flight).  These guys were really tested, in that at least one of their matches went extra holes or came down to the final hole before the match was decided.  The 1st Place Champions went a combined 9-0 in their matches.  Carter Giles came in with a hard-fought 2nd Place (4th Flight), Ethan DeKraker posted a 3rd Place finish (6th Flight) and Corbin Perrien completed a 5th Place finish (3rd Flight).  The Yellow Jackets went a combined 15-3 in all Match Play matches on the day.
