Greenville Girls Varsity Tennis defeated Big Rapids 5-3 in a close match. Both team were tied 3-3 with two flights still playing. Alison Weller (3 Singles) beat her opponent after losing the 1st set but came back and won the 2nd and 3rd sets. This brought the overall match score to 4-3 with the 4 Doubles flight down a set playing their 2nd. The 4 Doubles flight (Naomi Worden and Kylee Kikos) showed great perseverance and won the last 2 sets making the overall match score 5-3 in Greenville’s favor. This brings the team’s overall record to 3-0. Their next match is this Thursday at home vs Kenowa Hills.
