The Greenville Yellow Jackets stayed in it until the end, but the Lowell Red Arrows pulled away late in a 5-1 victory on Thursday. The game was tied at one with Lowell batting in the bottom of the fifth
Logan Mann was on the hill for the Yellow Jackets. Mann lasted four and a third innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out three. Kyler Witte threw one and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.
The Yellow Jackets tallied nine hits in the game. Nico Marquez went 3-4 with a single and a double. Case Johnson went 2-3 with 2 singles. Tristen Vasel, Cooper Lilley, Charlie Braman and Logan Mann each had a single in the game.
Josh Burch had his first start at third base. Burch was solid with the glove making numerous play in the defensive effort.
Next game: Saturday, April 15th at Chippewa Hills. The first game of the doubleheader starts at the 10:00 am.
