Greenville Yellow Jackets  JV got out to a nine-run lead in the fifth inning and held on for a 15-13 victory over Forest Hills Northern on Friday.  Forest Hills Northern scored six runs in the failed comeback on a in the fifth.

 

Greenville Yellow Jackets  JV fired up the offense in the second inning, when Caleb McCarty singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

 

In the bottom of the third inning, Forest Hills Northern tied things up at five.

 

After Greenville Yellow Jackets  JV scored one run in the top of the sixth, Forest Hills Northern answered with one of their own.  Greenville Yellow Jackets  JV scored when Josh Januzelli grounded out, scoring one run.

 

Greenville Yellow Jackets  JV pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning.  In the fourth Dravin Marlin singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run and Januzelli singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

 

Greenville Yellow Jackets  JV tallied six runs in the fifth inning.  Kyle Parris, Evan Uebele, Trenton Koepke, and McCarty all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

 

John Falcon led the Greenville Yellow Jackets  JV to victory on the pitcher's mound. He surrendered one run on six hits over three innings, striking out one and walking one.  Januzelli threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen

 

 Cody Krause started the game for Greenville Yellow Jackets  JV. He lasted three innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out two and walking one

 

Greenville Yellow Jackets  JV racked up 19 hits on the day.  Marlin, Parris, Koepke, McCarty, Krause, and Uebele each managed multiple hits for Greenville Yellow Jackets  JV.  McCarty, Koepke, Parris, and Marlin all had three hits to lead Greenville Yellow Jackets  JV.  Greenville Yellow Jackets  JV tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Krause led the way with three.
