Alexa Hyler Drives In 7 To Lead Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets Past Carson City-Crystal

Alexa Hyler drove in seven runs on three hits to lead Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets past Carson City-Crystal 19-3 on Tuesday at Greenville High School. Hyler hit a 3 run home run to left field in the third scoring four, doubled in the first scoring three, and singled in the first scoring one.

Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets scored 12 runs in the first inning on the way to victory. Hyler doubled, scoring three runs, Cam Klco singled, scoring one run, Kelsey Barczak drew a walk, scoring one run, Jenna Jenks drew a walk, scoring one run, Aubrie Uebele tripled, scoring three runs, a passed ball scored one run, Hyler singled, scoring one run, and Klco doubled, scoring one run.

Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Hyler was struck by a pitch, Emily Rice walked, and Klco walked, each scoring one run.

Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets scored four runs in the bottom of the third on a grand slam to left field by Hyler.

Jenks earned the win for Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets. The reliever surrendered four hits and three runs over two innings, striking out two and walking two.
