Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets Fall To Lowell After Surrendering Big Third Inning

Lowell defeated Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets 17-1 on Thursday thanks in part to nine runs in the third inning.
Lowell jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Amaya Jackson singled, scoring one run, Allison Raison doubled, scoring one run, Jordyn Mcclymont singled, scoring two runs, and Bell Calhoun tripled, scoring two runs.
Lowell added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets committed an error, and Calhoun grounded out, each scoring one run.
Lowell scored nine runs on six hits in the top of the third inning. Claire Mitchell doubled, scoring two runs, Jackson singled, scoring one run, Mcclymont singled, scoring one run, an error scored three runs, an error scored one run, and an error scored one run.
Jenna Jenks stepped in the circle first for Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets. The pitcher gave up four hits and six runs (five earned) over one-third of an inning, striking out none and walking two. Calhoun opened the game for Lowell. The starter surrendered four hits and one run over three innings, striking out four and walking none.
Alexis Enbody, Emily Rice, Alexa Hyler, and Drew Galey each collected one hit for Greenville Varsity Yellow Jackets.
