Girls Junior Varsity Volleyball vs. Thornapple Kellogg HS School

This past weekend, the Greenville JV volleyball team participated in the Thornapple-Kellogg tournament. The team started out slowly in the first set which we lost, but went on to play great team volleyball the rest of the tournament. In pool play, we beat Thornapple-Kellogg (2-1) and Saugatuck (3-0). We were seeded 3rd in the tournament, which put us against Lowell. We beat Lowell in 2 sets and made it into the semifinals where we faced West Catholic, which was the 2 seed. We ended up losing to West Catholic in 3 sets. For the first outing of the season, the Yellow Jackets played very well as a team and I was very pleased with the girls' effort all day.
