Girls Junior Varsity Volleyball vs. Morley Stanwood HS

The YellowJacket JV volleyball team participated in the Morley Stanwood tournament today and came home champions. In pool play, we beat Hart (25-15, 25-19) and Reed City (25-21, 25-9) and tied with Morley Stanwood (24-26, 25-11). We finished first in our pool. In bracket play, we faced Big Rapids first and beat them (25-12, 25-10). Then in the semifinals, we beat Hart again (25-14, 25-9). It was in the finals that we faced the toughest competition all day in Tri-County. We went three sets with them (19-25, 25-14, and 15-13) and squeaked it out in the end. We played very well for the most part and it was exciting to watch them execute the offense that we have been practicing all week.
