The JV volleyball team went undefeated to win the Alma tournament today. In pool play, we beat Chippewa Hills (25-19, 25-14), St. Louis (25-19, 25-19), and Shepherd (25-20, 25-14). Even though we were undefeated in pool play, we were seeded 3rd going into the tournament based on point differentials. In the first round of bracket play, we beat St. Louis again ((25-13, 25-13). Then we faced 2nd seeded Chesaning in the semifinals. It took us 3 sets, but we eventually beat them (23-25, 25-8, 16-14). This set us up against the number 1 seeded and undefeated, Mount Pleasant. It was a very good match and it took us 3 sets, but we managed to beat them (22-25, 25-22 and 15-12). It was a very long day and the girls played very well together all day. This is the second championship the YellowJackets have won in the past 2 weekends.
