The YellowJackets traveled to Lowell to play in their last tournament of the year and played very well.  In a very competitive pool, we came out as a second seed in our pool.  Our first match was against Caledonia, which we beat 25-19 and 25-15.   Then in the second match, we faced Grand Ledge and won 25-13 and 25-15.  The final match of pool play was against a very good Hamilton team.  We came out sluggish at the start, but battled back before losing 18-25.  Then in the second set, we came out strong and got off to a good start and held a lead for most of the set before they battled back to beat us 23-25.

Then in bracket play we faced Cadillac which we beat 25-17 and 25-10.  This put us into the semi-finals against the number one seed from the other pool, DeWitt.  This was a big challenge for us, but we battled hard and made it an interesting match.  In the first set, we lost 22-25 and then in the second, 16-25.

Overall, it was a very good day and the YellowJackets have a lot to be proud of.  We finished the day 3-2 and the 2 teams we lost to were in the finals.
