Last night the YellowJackets competed in a Quad at Covenant Christian High School. In the first match, we beat Godwin in 2 sets (25-8, 25-4). In that match, our serves were really good and we were led by Raelyn Thompson who had 19 straight serves in the second set. In the last 2 matches of the night, we didn't fair as well but we fought hard and had lots of long rallies. The second match we lost a close one with Cedar Springs (21-25, 23-25). Then in the third match, the scores weren't as close, but I was very proud of how hard the girls played and battled. We lost the third match to Covenant Christian (10-25, 21-25). We are showing some real improvements on the defensive end and now we just need to learn to put the ball away more.
