On Saturday, September 7th the YellowJackets participated in the Morley Stanwood tournament. We had been playing better coming into the tournament, but on Saturday the girls played some of their best team volleyball so far this season. The YellowJackets went 5-0 for the day and left as tournament champions. In pool play, we beat the following teams: Freemont (25-16, 25-14), Big Rapids (25-8, 25-18), Tri County (25-27, 25-8, 15-13), and Hart (25-10, 25-15). Then in the actual tournament, we faced the first place team from the other pool, McBain, who was also undefeated for the day. In this championship match, we beat McBain (25-23, 25-19). I was so proud of how well the girls did by staying together and staying positive throughout. This brings our overall record to 8-6-1.
