Today the YellowJackets played in the Lowell Invitational and we had our moments of ups and downs.  In the first match of pool play, we had our worst showing and lost to a good Caledonia team (14-25, 10-25).  Then in the second match against Grand Ledge, we started out playing poorly again and lost the first set 6-25.  But then in the second set, our team chemistry really shown through and we beat Grand Ledge 25-21.  This turned out to be a crucial win in our pool because we ended up second in our pool after beating Hamilton in 2 sets (25-16, 25-20).  In bracket play, we faced the third place team from the other pool, Spring Lake.  While it wasn't our best level of play, we managed to beat them in 2 sets (25-22, 25-21).  This placed us in the semi-finals with Grand Ledge.  We had moments when we played well in this match, but in the end we were outplayed and lost in 2 sets (21-25, 11-25).   Overall, we were 2-2-1 for the day and tied for 3rd place in the tournament.
