The Greenville JV volleyball team competed in the Allendale tournament this past Saturday and although it was the first type of competition this season, the YellowJackets played pretty well. In the first match, we beat Orchard View in 2 sets (25-7, 25-10). The girls did a great job of getting their serves in. Then in the second match, we played the host team, Allendale. This was a much bigger task for us. We lost in 3 sets (26-27, 25-15, 19-25). In the final match of the day, we played Wayland. This was another tough match for us, but we ended up winning this match in 3 sets (13-25, 25-14, 25-18). The team played very well together overall and it will be good to watch them improve as the season continues.
