Girls Varsity Cross Country vs. Lowell HS School

The GHS Varsity girls XC team opened up the OK White conference portion of their season on the very difficult and hot Lowell 5k course. The girls finished 7th of 7 teams with GR Ottawa Hills winning the first jamboree. A total of 118 girls ran in this race.
The Jackets were led by Junior Sarah Yob with an 24th place finish. Yob was followed by Junior Madison Town 38th, Senior Danielle Bigelow 48th, Senior Mackenzie Dykstra 72nd and Sophmore Madison Chaney 75th rounded out the Top 5 scoring runners.
The Jackets will be back in action this Saturday at the Mike Noll/Hornet Run hosted by Central Montcalm High School. This a race run by grade level with the Seniors beginning at 8:30am.
