LOWELL HIGH SCHOOL: 70
The GHS Varsity Boys XC team opened up the OK White conference portion of their season on the very difficult and hot Lowell 5k course. The boys finished 5th of 6 teams with Cedar Springs winning the first jamboree. A total of 148 boys ran in this race.
The Jackets were led by Senior Ian Lee with an 8th place finish. Lee was followed by Sophomore Aaron Amidon 21st, Junior Micah Bouman 33rd, Sophomore Titus Bretzke 34th and Senior Matt Jeffrey 49th rounded out the Top 5 scoring runners.
The Jackets will be back in action this Saturday at the Mike Noll/Hornet Run hosted by Central Montcalm High School. This a race run by grade level with the Seniors beginning at 8:30am.
