The GHS Boys XC team Saturday in the Mike Noll/Hornet Run at Central Montcalm HS. This meet uses a unique grade level format with no team scoring. The team saw a lot of Personal Records set for the 2018 season along with some first time runners earning their 3.1 buttons.
Earning Top 25 medals in their grade level races were Seniors Matt Jeffrey 19:05 and Evan Senn 21:39, Juniors Derick Holmberg 21:55 and Carson Tolliver 22:05 Sophomores Titus Bretke 18:06, Cody Krause 18:16, Gavin Dykstra 18:54, Aaron Amidon 19:10.
Also running well were Sophomore Deagan Moore 20:47, Austin Navarre 20:49, Charlie Wienheimer 20:58 and Brennan Rowley 22:05.
The Freshman were led by Griffin Senn 22:52, Cole Mason 25:38 and John Saur 25:44.
The Jackets will run next Saturday at the Sparta Invite.
